Cancer Treatment Centers of America provided an article to PR Newswire as a part of their campaign to raise awareness about Prostate cancer. The article titled “The National Football League Alumni Association, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and LabCorp Team Up to Offer Prostate Cancer Screenings Starting in September” reveals a variety of events hosted by the different associations.

For instance, Cancer Treatment Centers of America will host a variety of events in Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix, and Tulsa. Each one will either raise awareness with former NFL players while providing education and support networking opportunities or they will be held for patients with local community leaders.

NFLA will not only send former NFL players to those events, but former coaches Herm Edwards, Bill Cowher, and Dick Vermeil will host the Prostate Pep Talk Campaign. These PSAs will be released nationally and will air throughout September.

LabCorps will offer 2,000 free Prostate Specific Antigen screenings at all of their locations across the U.S. After the 2,000 have been accounted for, they will provide a discounted rate for screening men over 40 who are eligible.
