Denver native Jon Urbana knows a lot about Lacrosse. He has been playing the game since he was a boy. He fine-tuned his Lacrosse abilities while attending Villanova University. Jon returned to Denver after graduation with a degree in economics and a desire to help others. One of the first things Jon Urbana did when he got home was to look for social causes that needed attention. Urbana has always been a cat lover, and when he found out that millions of healthy cats are euthanized each year because they are homeless, he had to do something. Jon started the Animal Rescue and Adoption Society. The Animal Rescue and Adoption Society finds homes for stray cats in the Denver area.
In order to fund his nonprofit organization, Jon started a CrowdRise fund and then a GoFundMe campaign, and the response has been better than expected. But Urbana didn’t stop there. He was still playing lacrosse in his spare time, and he realized there were kids in the Denver area that wanted to play the game, but there were very few schools in the area that offer a course in lacrosse. So Jon Urbana started the Next Level Lacrosse Camp.
The Next Level Lacrosse Camp is a camp that offers beginner training as well as training for players that want to move on to the next level in the game. Urbana’s Lacrosse camp has helped hundreds of kids develop a love for the game.
Urbana has always been a guy that can’t sit still for very long. So he combined his love of flying with his love of the startup world, and the result is a gallery of incredible photographs from an airplane along with hundreds of ground-based still shots of some of the natural wonders of the world.
Jon is an environmentalist that captures the beauty that surrounds us with his lenses. Most people like to watch others help save the planet, but Urbana is a photographer that shows people why the planet is worth saving.
